Filabot Troubleshooting

Extruder

• Is it normal for my Filabot EX2 to overshoot the set temperature to 300°C, or have I done something wrong?
• My EX2 is running slowly / I'm having trouble feeding shredded filament.
• Filament isn't coming out of the EX2; pellets are not feeding into the barrel.
• Why is our purge compound not moving at all?

Filament

• Grey-looking filament is being extruded
• I've run multiple tests with different temperatures and can't get PETG filament to cool within the specified diameter tolerance. What should I do?
• My filament is sticking to the Airpath during extrusion.
• My filament is inconsistent.

Spooler

• The traverse isn't working on my spooler.
• Spooler holder is losing traction causing the filament to load loosely on the spool.

Pelletizer

• Can your pelletizer process polypropylene (PP) or PET, what about TPU?
• Pellets are not cleanly cut or strands of filament appear in the output.
• Pelletizer stopped working, and the drive won’t spin, but the fan is running.
• Pelletizer isn't chopping, it leaves strands of filament instead.

Reclaimer

• Filament is fusing together in the feed chamber of the Reclaimer.
